Tips on How to Care for Our Handmade Crochet Products
Our products are made in the USA and imported.
Synthetic materials are warm and cozy, and they hold their shape.
We make every effort to use natural fibers. However, many homemakers prefer easy wash and dry fabrics for daily care.
Some fibers that we us are Acrylic, Polyester, Nylon, Superwash and Merino Wool, “non-animal” fibers, Polyamide blends, metallic, and cotton threads. We hope someday soon to use organic fibers.
Manufacturers of these fibers recommend hand wash and dry flat, or air dry. Low heat for synthetics. We spot clean and air dry (low temp). Outerwear is layered over clothing. Under normal circumstances outerwear stay relatively clean.
We suggest hand wash cool to warm soapy water works great for small soiled areas. Do not rub material. Our products may contain metallic fibers.
CAUTION: Metallic and other synthetic fibers should not be ironed, or exposed to extreme heat.
Some products may be machine washed by itself in cool, mild soapy water, delicate cycle, and tumble dry. Be cautious when using a hair dryer, as some materials can be damaged under heat.
Baukat Couture is not responsible for damages resulting from misuse. We provide these tips to provide recommended and suggested use of care.
DO NOT DRY CLEAN!
According to our professional dry cleaner expert, their huge cleaning tumblers may damage stitches of our crochet products. The Crochet Industry states that crochet stitches are strong. We caution care when our garments are in contact with sharp objects.
